Keep the detail.
Start with a sensible 70% image quality preset, or adjust compression to match your content. Set a maximum width and height without stretching small images.
Actual size and appearance depend on the image and server encoder. PNG remains lossless, using compression effort rather than lossy quality.

Does installation optimize existing images automatically?
No. Existing Media Library images are only processed after you explicitly start a bulk operation. You can analyze first.
Can I choose WebP or AVIF as the output format?
Yes, as well as JPEG and PNG. AVIF support depends on the encoders available on your hosting server.
What happens if an image looks worse after optimization?
When valid rollback snapshots are available, use History & Rollback to return to a previously saved state. Keep enough storage for backups.
Does the plugin send my images to a cloud service?
No external image-processing service is required. Supported conversion runs on your WordPress hosting environment. See the Privacy Policy.
